Geisler Roofing and Home Improvement roof coating gives building owners a number of benefits including waterproofing the roof substrate, helping to prevent roof leaks, and creating more energy efficient interior climate control. A roof coating can be used for flat roof maintenance and flat roof repair. When used for building roof maintenance, roof coatings can qualify for a 100% tax deduction the first year!
Additional Benefits of an Elastomeric Roof Coating
More benefits of a roof coating are being seamless; seams are one of the most common places where a roof leak begins, bright white and reflective; the bright white reflectivity of the roof coating makes the sun’s harmful UV rays bounce off the top coat. This also reduces thermo-cycling, the destructive process where the sun’s heat wears down the roof prematurely due expansion and contraction.
Seal and Protect Your Commercial Flat Roof
Elastomeric roof coatings will seal and protect almost any roof substrate including modified bitumen roofs, smooth built up roof, gravel built up roof, spray foam, concrete flat roofs, metal roofing, EPDM, single-ply, wood and steel. A roof coating is rubber membrane that is applied as a liquid and requires minimal roof top equipment. This provides the building owner with a business to continue under usual condition during the roof coating application process. After the roof coating application is complete, most root coating experts can offer a long term, roof coating manufacturer material and/or system warranty to keep your mind at ease.

Looking for Information on Spray Foam Roofing, Wall Foam Insulation, or Single-Ply Membrane Roofing Systems?
In our continuing effort to empower and educate a more informed consumer base, we also provide a network of informative websites dedicated to spray foam roofing, wall foam insulation, and single-ply membrane roofing systems. These educational websites answer many of the common questions related to spray polyurethane foam (SPF) and PVC membrane roofing and can be found here: http://www.sprayfoamroofingtopeka.com/ and here: http://duro-last.com/duro-last_roofing_system?prefab=1
Roof Coating
A roof coating is more than just a great way to protect your investment, it’s also an investment in the environment. A roof coating can restore a dilapidated, deteriorated traditional roof to a good as new condition without the need to tear the old roof off. The old roof becomes the base upon which the roof coating adheres, forming a new, stronger, and waterproof roof surface that is more energy efficient and easier on the environment.
Roof Coating and Spray Foam
Roof coatings can also be used in conjunction with spray polyurethane foam (SPF). With SPF, the spray foam is laid down on the raw roof substrate first, forming a very thick, extremely strong and stable layer of insulation that will stick to almost anything, including concrete roofing, metal roofing, modified bitumen, built-up roof, smooth built-up roofing, polyurethane foam roofs, EPDM single-ply roofing. Following the application of the spray foam, a roof coating is then applied as a top coat over the SPF to seal the foam and protect it from the sun’s harmful UV rays.
Here is an example of a warehouse roof that was destroyed by hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. After replacing the roof deck, spray foam was applied and then a roof coating was applied on top to make a complete energy efficient waterproof roofing system that is stronger than the original.
Once the roof coating and spray polyurethane foam system is complete, the new roof surface will be stronger without weighing too much (SPF is some lightweight stuff) and will offer some of the best R-values of any insulation product available for roofing.
Alternatives to Roof Coating
There are some cases where the roof has deteriorated to the point where is must be torn off and replaced and simply applying a roof coating will not be the best choice. For these situations, there are a few alternatives, the best of which is a bright white, cool roof single-ply roof system. These roofing systems are based on the same technology behind cool roof coatings and can offer many of the same benefits as a roof coating, saving energy dollars through reflectivity and admissibility.
